We can do this because Katrin and I, as senior consultants, are involved in all our campaigns, providing almost 40 years of marketing and communications experience. Like all agency managers, we certainly can't always be there for everything. But we have high standards for the design of campaigns and activities for our customers and are both continuously involved in projects – right through to consulting mandates, which we look after exclusively in person.
And we can be a holistic partner because we also have years of in-house experience in service, finance and technology companies, where we have been responsible for or played a key role in shaping marketing and communications. This avoids "agency blindness" – focusing on the wrong vanity KPIs or misinterpreting customer requirements due to a wrong perspective.
Above all, however, we can do this because we do not see ourselves as specialists who, when in doubt, know everything better than the customer, but as partners on the common path to finding the best solution for you. Because if there is one thing we have learned in all these years of marketing and communications, it is this: there is no one perfect way to the goal that you just have to reproduce over and over again. In reality, there is a start and a finish – and in between a landscape through which you have to navigate and in which you have to gain your experiences. A local guide certainly makes this easier – but you still have to get your shoes dirty on the hike.
Another thing we do differently than many agencies is our focus on our team. We enable our employees to have the work style and location they want.
